Ten organizations from around the globe shined bright at last night’s 2019 PTC Innovation Awards Gala as they received awards for their outstanding innovations. The gala was held during PTC’19, the Pacific Telecommunications Council’s 41st annual conference.

“The Innovation Awards Gala, as well as all those that were recognized for their innovation, was phenomenal,” said Isabelle Paradis, President and Founder of HOT TELECOM and Chair of the 2019 PTC Innovation Awards Jury. “Congratulations to all of the 2019 PTC Innovation Awards recipients.”

The PTC Innovation Awards recognize the individuals and companies transforming the information and communication technologies (ICT) industry and the markets PTC serves. The Awards Gala serves as PTC’s signature fundraising event, which directly supports PTC’s mission and key community outreach initiatives.

Several other awards were also presented last night. Timothy Logue, Senior Director of Sales and Business Development at Thales Alenia Space received the Richard J. Barber PTC Distinguished Service Award for his exceptional service to PTC. Penn State doctoral student Yang Bai received the Yale M. Braunstein Student Prize Award for the best student research paper; Bin Zhang, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Economics and Management, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, received the Meheroo Jussawalla Research Prize Award for the best participant research paper; and six academics from five different countries were recognized as PTC Young Scholars.
