I am Anne Vivien Paris, director of Larus Foundation. I started the foundation as I realized there is a need to educate and support the youth today in understanding Internet governance – a topic that is often under-discussed but nonetheless completely integral in today’s day and age. Furthermore, I have been privy to several Internet governance conventions and meetings where I actively supported causes and policies that could help make Internet governance a grassroots topic. Through the foundation, I have collaborated with numerous universities around the world to educate future generations about Internet governance and policies.
What technology breakthrough would pave the way for the ICT industry?
5G and artificial intelligence.
How can telecommunications technologies help humanity?
Telecommunications technologies and the ability to connect and communicate are fundamental to how humanity operates. Additionally, new communication and information technologies are also contributing to good governance and keeping citizens informed.
How can corporations and researchers best serve the next generation?
They can do so by changing the status quo and sponsoring capable candidates interested in the issues of Internet policy and ICT. We firmly believe that the lack of necessary funds should not stand in the way of those who want to pursue a career in ICT and Internet governance. We understand that currently, the involvement of the public remains limited.
How does PTC fit your company’s goals or career purpose?
PTC’s mission is fully realized through the three pillars that sync with ours, namely;
COLLABORATION – Larus Foundation works with universities, non-profits, and other organizations to promote Internet governance and address complex Internet challenges among the youth.
KNOWLEDGE – Generally, we support the following parties:
The public, through various educational initiatives; and those interested in pursuing a career in Internet governance through grants and different financial support.
OUTREACH – We aim to positively impact the future of the Internet for generations to come.
What vital piece of information should people know about PTC?
It is a global organization with a vast community of professionals, groups, technologists, researchers, and influencers who focus on helping the community in the development and deployment of ICT.
What has been a positive outcome organizationally or individually given the current state of the world?
People are more aware of their freedom to access information, plus their rights in the participation of Internet governance – we equip them with the right resources, knowledge, and platform to participate in this matter.

We sponsor thousands of youth from around the world annually on educational seminars and activities that promote Internet governance.
