Sean Bergin
PTC President & Chair
of the Board of Governors
Aloha! I hope you are all staying safe and well. As the PTC President and Chair of the Board of Governors, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to this edition of Touchpoints.
What a great start we have had to 2022! It was fantastic to see so many of you attend PTC’22: Reunite. Rethink. Renew. in person, despite the additional challenges created by travel restrictions. It truly is a testament to how important the PTC Annual Conference is in helping to kick-start and form objectives and ambitions for the year ahead. We hope that you did indeed take the opportunity to reunite, rethink, and renew.
We are all looking forward to a return to normalcy this year. 2022 will undoubtedly offer its own set of challenges as we are still learning to live with this “new normal” in the wake of the pandemic. Rest assured however, PTC will continue to adapt and learn how to carry out our vision and mission despite what curveballs are thrown at us. To that end, PTC’s Touchpoints is just one way in which we contribute toward our ongoing mission of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and outreach in general.
In addition to our regular communication via Touchpoints, I would like to remind all members to keep an eye out for this year’s VLOG series: Digging Into the Future, hosted by Bill Barney. Leaning on his training in archaeology and almost 30 years in the telecom industry, Bill will be speaking with tech pioneers as well as the C-suite executives of today, to dissect hot topics and issues driving technological innovation and market trends. It will provide great insights into what we can expect in our digital future.
Lifelong learning is fundamental to everyone’s continuing development and is key to what PTC strives to support. Again, this year we will also be rolling out our fully accredited PTC Academy courses, providing exceptional management training to rising industry leaders. We have an evolving and expanding team of expert instructors with senior executive experience leading each course using a mix of presentations, in-depth case studies, and interactive exercises. If you have your eye on any up-and-comers within your organization, be sure to enroll them.
Finally, I would personally like to thank all of our PTC Members for their ongoing commitment along with the many PTC’22 Sponsors who make it possible for PTC to support the people and organizations within our very important and exciting industry.
