Samoa Submarine Cable Company (SSCC) was represented at PTC’17: Changing Realities by the Samoan delegation led by the Minister of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Hon. Afamasaga Rico Tupa’i together with the SSCC Chairman of the Board of Directors, Pepe Christian Fruean, SSCC CEO Emmanuel Delanoue and Member of the Board of Director, Faumuina Esther Lameko-Poutoa.
The conference, held annually, organized by the Pacific Telecommunications Council saw participants connecting from over 75 countries. Samoa amongst the participating countries seized the opportunity of the conference and set a milestone for Samoa Submarine Cable Company by signing up with Flexenclosure as a supplier for two cable landing stations in Upolu and Savaii.
The two cable landing stations will terminate the new submarine TUI-Samoa cable, connecting Samoa, Fiji, Wallis and Futuna. Flexenclosure are specialists in prefabricated eCentre cable landing stations specifically for submarine cable industry. They pioneered the deployment of prefabricated data center technology into many developing nations in Africa, Latin America and Asia, as well as managing projects in Europe.
