SUBMISSIONS ARE OPEN
Submissions are now being accepted for the second annual PTC Innovation Awards, which recognizes the individuals and companies that have transformed and continue to transform the ICT industry and the markets PTC serves. Special emphasis will be placed on innovation that improves the quality of life in the Pacific Rim through the use of ICT.
WHEN SUBMISSIONS ARE CLOSED
The 2019 PTC Innovation Awards submission process is now closed. Thank you to the companies and individuals that submitted an entry for the second annual PTC Innovation Awards, which recognizes the individuals and companies that have transformed and continue to transform the ICT industry and the markets PTC serves. The awards jury will now deliberate over the entries and a shortlist of finalists will be released within the next few weeks.

Highlights from the 2018 PTC Innovation Awards Gala
ELIGIBILITY
Entities: PTC Members and non-members – Individuals, teams, corporations, non-profits, regulatory, and standards bodies.
Timeframe: The product, service, application, standard, or other innovation being submitted for an award, must have been introduced between 1 November 2017 and 31 October 2018.
ADDITIONAL DETAILS
- No fee to apply.
- Individuals or companies may enter as many categories as they wish, provided they meet the eligibility requirements.
- Each entry must be submitted through its own entry form.
- Only entries submitted through the online application system will be accepted as valid entries.
Innovation Awards recipients will be announced on Tuesday, 22 January 2019, at the PTC Innovation Awards Gala.
The PTC Innovation Awards–open to PTC members and non-members–are designed to recognize the individuals and companies that have transformed and continue to transform our industry and the markets we serve.
Winners are announced at the Innovation Awards Gala.
The Innovation Awards recipients will be announced on Tuesday, 22 January 2019 at the PTC Innovation Awards Gala. All organizations that make the shortlist are encouraged to attend. PTC will not know the results prior to the event.
The gala will be an excellent opportunity to network and celebrate with your peers from around the world. Be sure to purchase your tickets soon or take advantage of the Gala Patron Package opportunities.

Best Network-Enabled Application/Service Innovation
Recognizing the most outstanding innovation in network-enabled applications or services. This category might include video sharing sites or social media or cybersecurity anomaly detection based on network data analysis.
Best Networking Innovation
Recognizing the most outstanding innovation in overall networking, including any innovation that doesn’t fall cleanly into any of the other categories, such as solar-powered Internet drones.
Best Network-Enabled Emerging Technologies Innovation
Recognizing the most outstanding innovation in emerging technologies, e.g., IoT, blockchain, cybersecurity, components, AI/big data/analytics, or quantum Internet.
Best Quality of Life Improvement
Recognizing the company or entity that has successfully launched a telecommunications product or network-centric ICT application that has had the most outstanding impact on improving the quality of life for people in the Pacific Rim.
Best Satellite Innovation
Recognizing the most outstanding innovation in satellite-based communications, e.g., new business models, LEO, MEO, GEO, optical satellites, or launch vehicles and maintenance strategies.
Best Cloud/Data center/
Interconnection Innovation
Recognizing the most outstanding innovation in cloud or enterprise data centers and interconnection. Examples might include data centers powered by ocean currents or software-defined interconnection fabrics.
Best Mobile Innovation
Recognizing the most outstanding innovation in mobility, e.g., new business or pricing models, 5G, distributed antenna systems, or smart cities.
Best Network Intelligence Innovation
Recognizing the most outstanding innovation in network intelligence, e.g., SD-WAN, “smart data” performance analysis and fault detection, or bandwidth autoscaling driven by cloud orchestration.
Best Subsea Innovation
Recognizing the most outstanding innovation in subsea networking, including new business models, new routes, optoelectronics, or landing station design.
CALL FOR JUDGES
PTC members and non-members that represent the breadth and depth of the ICT industry, including private, public, institutional, and academic practices, are eligible to apply.
