The PTC Awards 2022 are intended to acknowledge the outstanding contributions being made to improve the ability of people and organizations in the Pacific region to connect, communicate, collaborate, and experience an enhanced quality of life.

Eligibility requirements: Any company, organization, institution, or individual (where applicable) that is based in the Pacific region or does business in the Pacific region may submit an entry for consideration. Categories marked with an are open to individuals.

Winners will be announced at an all new awards event on Monday, 20 January 2020, from 17:00 to 19:00 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village® Waikiki Beach Resort in Honolulu, Hawaii.

PTC’s signature fundraising event, the Innovation Awards Gala, will honor the individuals and ideas that are moving the needle forward in the way of innovation.
Funds generated from the gala will support PTC’s mission and key community outreach initiatives including PTC Academy, PTC Broadband Reports, PTC Projects, PTC Young Scholar Program, and PTC Research Prize Awards – the Meheroo Jussawalla Research Prize Award and the Yale M. Braunstein Student Prize Award.
The 2019 PTC Innovation Awards Gala will be an exquisite night that showcases the individuals and companies and the excellence they are achieving in the ICT industry.

Entries may address specific offers, offer portfolio, innovation, internal or customer experience transformation, quality or reliability improvement, process/journey engineering, pricing plans, network evolution, cloud migration, network intelligence, etc.
Outstanding Satellite Company (O) — such as those offering LEO, MEO, or GEO services; launch services; VSAT terminals; etc.
Outstanding Submarine Company(O) — such as subsea cable providers; cable landing stations; subsea communications components; etc.
Outstanding Wireline and/or Wireless Company (O) — such as copper, fiber, or cable-based services; core or edge routers; optical add-drop multiplexers; 4G or 5G services; cellular handsets or IoT devices; base stations; tower providers; etc.
Outstanding Applications Company (O) — for “over-the-top” applications and services built on global networks, such as social media and networking; content management, distribution, or streaming video; messaging; cybersecurity; software or platform as a service, etc.
Outstanding Cloud, Data Center, or Interconnection Company (O) — for products and services complementary to wireline, wireless, satellite, and subsea networks, such as infrastructure, platform, or software as a service; managed services; data centers, colocation, and interconnection; facilities and construction, etc.
Outstanding Start-up (O) — for innovative products, services, technology, results, or customer impact. (Note: This award is only open to companies in the networking or network-centric space that was founded on or after 1 January 2019.)

Outstanding Support for PTC’s Vision and Mission Award (O/I) — for creating, developing, and implementing ICT solutions benefiting the Pacific region – preferably the less developed Pacific islands – through research and development; educational initiatives and curricula; financial or strategic insights; joint ventures, partnerships, or other ecosystem development; consortia; regulatory, legal, non-governmental or multinational organizations; standards organizations; or other network-centric solutions for improving the quality of life, such as telemedicine, enhanced privacy and security, and digital inclusion.
Members’ Choice Awards are voted on by PTC Members. They recognize that individual leadership can often be the fundamental driving force for the development of the industry and the achievement of PTC’s vision and mission.
Outstanding C-level Executive (I) — for outstanding achievement by a CEO, CTO, CSO, CFO, CIO, division president, etc. in attaining tangible corporate results across stakeholders – such as customers, shareholders, employees, and partners – while also supporting the mission and vision of PTC.
Outstanding Female Executive (I) — for outstanding achievement by a female executive in achieving tangible corporate results across stakeholders while also supporting the mission and vision of PTC.
Outstanding Diversity and Inclusion Champion (O/I) — for outstanding achievement by a diverse role model individual, or for an organization or individual demonstrably fostering and championing diversity and inclusion in an organization or in the industry while also supporting the mission and vision of PTC.
Outstanding Up-and-Coming Leader (I) — for outstanding achievement by an industry executive, innovator, or thought leader. (Note: This individual must be under 40 years of age as of 1 January 2022.)
AWARD CRITERIA: The following four criteria apply to each of the categories
Why is this nominated entity deserving of an award?
Describe key aspects of the company, innovation, organization, consortium, ecosystem, or leader; the specific contribution made by the organization or individual; the competitive or market context; the prior art, the nature of the transformation, customer value created, etc.
What quantifiable results have been achieved?
This might be measured in terms of revenues, profits, subscribers, ARPU, EBITDA, monthly average users, number of students or employees trained, cycle time reduction, patents issued, interconnection bandwidth, peak data rates, customer satisfaction metrics, employee satisfaction metrics, churn, sites deployed, market share, etc. (Note: Results must be achieved by the nomination deadline, not planned.)
What qualitative results have been achieved?
For example, ameliorating the digital divide, reaching the unconnected, increased user/subscriber, wholesale, or other end-customer benefits, customer testimonials, community contributions, workflow or journey reengineering, organization restructuring including internal, mergers or acquisitions, divestitures, etc. (Note: Results must be achieved by the nomination deadline, not planned.)

Outstanding Legal, Policy, or Regulatory Organization—helping to foster global connectivity through regulatory policy; international law or policies; other legal or regulatory actions; etc.
CATEGORY IV: MEMBERS’ CHOICE AWARDS
The Members’ Choice Awards category recognizes that individual leadership, diversity, and inclusion is often the fundamental driving force for the development of the industry and the achievement of PTC’s vision and mission, and also the need to recognize achievements not just in the broader Pacific region but particularly in those areas subject to the uniquely complex societal and communications requirements of isolated islands.
Outstanding Pacific Islands Achievement—for outstanding achievement for any company or individual based specifically in the smaller Pacific islands (e.g., Hawaii, Vanuatu, Tonga, Papua New Guinea), but excluding the larger islands or archipelagos (e.g., Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the Philippines).
Outstanding CEO—for outstanding achievement by a CEO or Chairman in attaining corporate results (market share, revenue and profitability, employee and customer satisfaction, community and sustainability) while also supporting the mission and vision of PTC.
Outstanding Female Executive—for outstanding achievement by a female executive in corporate results while also supporting the mission of vision PTC.
