The PTC’25 Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in digital infrastructure, telecommunications, and ICT. These awards recognize exemplary visionaries driving innovation, technical expertise, and leadership.

We invite you to be part of the celebration by nominating individuals and organizations that have exemplified excellence in our industry.

Nominations are open for the following categories.

PTC will use Awards Force as its official awards nomination platform. There is no fee or sponsorship required to enter.

PTC VISION AND MISSION AWARD:

The Outstanding Support for PTC’s Vision and Mission Award acknowledges the significant role played by this individual/organization in championing PTC’s objectives and fostering a vibrant and inclusive telecommunications and ICT community. The recipient of this award has shown exceptional dedication, collaboration, and contributions to the organization as a vital partner in realizing PTC’s vision and mission and driving positive change across the industry.

LEADERSHIP AWARDS:

The Outstanding CEO Award is a prestigious accolade that recognizes and celebrates a CEO who has made exceptional contributions to the telecommunications and ICT industry. This award acknowledges this CEO’s visionary leadership and ability to navigate through changing market dynamics, identify emerging trends, and steer his/her organization toward transformative initiatives, successful business strategies, and contribute to the advancement of our industry on a global scale.

The PTC Outstanding Young Leader Award recognizes excellence and leadership by a young professional in the ICT industry. This recipient has demonstrated remarkable leadership qualities and has led initiatives that show a deep understanding of emerging technologies and market trends. This award recognizes his/her vital role in shaping the industry’s future and inspires others to drive innovation and socioeconomic development.

NETWORKING AND NETWORK-CENTRIC SOLUTIONS AWARDS:

The Outstanding Submarine Network Company Award recognizes a company that reflects the evolving landscape of subsea communications. This includes technological advancements, network resilience, scalability, global reach, sustainability, customer satisfaction, and industry leadership. The company must demonstrate innovation, robust infrastructure, seamless connectivity, and a commitment to environmental responsibility, while making an impact on global connectivity and facilitating digital transformation.

The Outstanding Satellite Company Award recognizes a company that has demonstrated excellence in the satellite industry. The company also contributes to the advancement of the satellite industry and its impact on global connectivity and technological development.

The Outstanding Data Center Company Award recognizes a company that has demonstrated excellence and leadership in the field of data center services. The recipient of this award has set new standards in data center design, infrastructure, and operations, delivering cutting-edge solutions that meet the evolving needs of businesses in the digital era. This company embraces energy efficiency and sustainability while providing robust connectivity options and excellent customer service.

The Outstanding Network Solutions Provider Award recognizes a company for its achievements in delivering innovative network solutions tailored to enterprises, including networking architecture, connectivity, SDN, multi-cloud networking, and security. This company excels in enabling digital transformation, driving business success, and empowering telecommunications carriers with carrier-grade infrastructure, advanced routing, switching capabilities, and robust service management systems to ensure seamless voice, data, and multimedia services.

The Outstanding Digital Infrastructure Investor Award recognizes an investor or investment group that has demonstrated excellence and leadership in investing in digital infrastructure projects. This award acknowledges the significant role played by investment(s) in fostering the digital economy, improving connectivity, and driving innovation. This recipient’s exceptional achievements and unwavering commitment to excellence has made a significant impact in improving global/regional infrastructure to advance businesses, communities, and individuals in the digital age.

The Outstanding Innovation Award recognizes exceptional achievements in leveraging latest technologies to transform infrastructure services. It honors a company that has demonstrated visionary leadership and innovation by implementing leading-edge networking solutions to enhance efficiency, scalability, security, and customer experiences. This award celebrates progressive contributions to shaping the future of infrastructure services and advancing the digital ecosystem.

AWARD CRITERIA: The following four criteria apply to each of the categories

Why is this nominated entity deserving of an award?
Describe key aspects of the company, innovation, organization, consortium, ecosystem, or leader; the specific contribution made by the organization or individual; the competitive or market context; the prior art, the nature of the transformation, customer value created, etc.

What quantifiable results have been achieved?
This might be measured in terms of revenues, profits, subscribers, ARPU, EBITDA, monthly average users, number of students or employees trained, cycle time reduction, patents issued, interconnection bandwidth, peak data rates, customer satisfaction metrics, employee satisfaction metrics, churn, sites deployed, market share, etc. (Note: Results must be achieved by the nomination deadline, not planned.)

What qualitative results have been achieved?
For example, ameliorating the digital divide, reaching the unconnected, increased user/subscriber, wholesale, or other end-customer benefits, customer testimonials, community contributions, workflow or journey reengineering, organization restructuring including internal, mergers or acquisitions, divestitures, etc. (Note: Results must be achieved by the nomination deadline, not planned.)

How does the nominated entity’s work conform to PTC’s vision and mission?
PTC’s vision is a better world where people and organizations are connected through the innovative use of information and communication technologies (ICT). FAQs

The PTC’25 Awards event is intended to acknowledge the outstanding contributions being made to improve the ability of people and firms in the Pacific region to connect, communicate, collaborate, and experience an enhanced quality of life.

Any company, organization, institution, or individual (depending on the award category) that is based in the Pacific region or does business in the Pacific region is eligible.

The Pacific region includes any countries or territories on or near the Pacific Ocean, including North America, much of Central and South America, the Pacific islands, Australia and New Zealand, China and Southeast Asia, the Korean Peninsula, and Russia.

There are a total of 9 categories in which entries can be submitted

The PTC’25 Awards judges represent a broad cross-section of industry executive thought and leadership from a variety of network-centric industry segments.

Judges are selected based on their industry knowledge, diversity of experience, and objectivity

No. There is no compensation for judges. However, serving as a judge offers the benefit of helping further the mission and vision of PTC in using ICT to ensure progress in the industry while improving the quality of life in Pacific Rim communities.

Judges will access the official online awards portal, review each entry (unless there is a conflict of interest), and use a numerical scoring system to rate the merits of each entry based on the given criteria. JUDGING Each entry is evaluated quantitatively against multiple criteria, with a strict mathematical protocol used to combine the perspectives of each of the independent judges. An entry with the highest cumulative points will be considered as the winner of a category.

Judges will evaluate an entry based on the responses to the questions that are presented in each category (see Categories and Criteria tab)

Yes, we intend to announce a shortlist of finalists a couple of months before the PTC’25 Awards event. Check https://www.ptc.org/ptc25/awards periodically for the latest updates and information about the awards.

Winners will be announced at PTC’25 in Honolulu at the Awards Breakfast events which will be held on 22 January 2025. Additional details about this event can also be found on https://www.ptc.org/ptc25/awards.

Winners will receive a one-of-a-kind PTC’25 Awards trophy and the unique value, prestige, and recognition associated with the award and the contributions being acknowledged.

Information about the PTC’25 Awards winners – such as the entity, which award, and a description of the award – will be announced and maintained on various PTC information, communications, and social media channels. Moreover, winners will have permission to communicate their award in their own print and online materials

PTC’25 Awards may be filmed and photographed. PTC and the photographers and videographers under its hire may photograph or make audio or video recordings of PTC events and attendees. By participating in this event, you irrevocably grant permission to PTC to use your name, photographs, images, recordings, or likenesses for promoting and advertising PTC and its events, at any time, in any and all media whether now known or in the future developed.

PTC shall not be held responsible for any delay or failure in performance of its obligations to the extent caused by fire, flood, strike, civil, governmental or military authority, acts of God, acts of terrorism, acts of war, epidemics, the availability of the conference or course venue, or other similar causes beyond its reasonable control. In such event, PTC in its sole discretion may postpone, reschedule, or cancel the event without liability to any attendee for damages, costs, or expenses, including costs of transportation or accommodation. PTC’s sole responsibility if the event is canceled or rescheduled for any reason would be a refund of the event tickets (if applicable).
